Payout Balances

We update the balances available according to the movements performed in your account, such as funds deposit or disbursement.

Balance types

You can see the following balances in the Payouts console:

Total Balance

This is the only balance you need to consider. It shows the total amount of funds available for payouts.

Processing Balance

This amount corresponds to all your pending Payouts. Once all the Payouts have reached a final state (Paid or rejected), the value displayed will be zero (0).

Checking your balances in real time
At any time, you can check your current balances by calling the Balances API. We recommend consulting this API before scheduling or executing payouts, to confirm funds are available.

Examples

Let's make an example to let you understand the concept behind the Payout balances. Let's assume that you have the following information:

Payout amount requested:10 USD
Fee: 2 USD
Initial balance: 20 USD

Fee assumed by the merchant

Balance when the payout is requested
Total Balance	`8 USD`
Processing Balance Payout amount requested + fee	`12 USD`

Balance if the payout is paid
Total Balance	`8 USD`
Processing Balance	`0 USD`

Balance if the payout is rejected
Total Balance	`18 USD`
Processing Balance	`0 USD`

If the payout is rejected, the processing fee is not refunded.

Fee assumed by the payee

Balance when the payout is requested
